Forest Lakes - A Future Development

Forest Lakes, CO
North of Colorado Springs near Monument, CO, the Forest Lakes area is the future site of a unique planned community. Forest Lakes will be offering its future residents nearby access to fishing and sailing with two beautiful and nearby recreational lakes, Bristlecone Lake and Piñon Lake. Another "natural amenity" offered is the view of Beaver Creek. Beaver Creek is a naturally-fed mountain stream that also flows through this development and is surrounded by reserved, unspoiled open space. The area boasts "unprecedented views" not only of its lakes but also of Pike National Forest and Rampart Range. The styles of homes the Forest Lakes area proposes are luxury, custom, semi-custom and patio home communities along the shorelines.
Forest Lake residents will have access to a trail system that connects them to Pike National Forest, the town of Monument, and Colorado Springs. Local space has been set aside for a future community elementary school; currently Monument residents are served by Lewis-Palmer School District 38 .  Nearby shopping opportunities are in the town of Monument, extending from its Downtown area to the convenient Monument Marketplace. To the south, nearby Colorado Springs offers the Shops at Briargate, and the Chapel Hills Mall. To the north, the city of Castle Rock offers the Outlets at Castle Rock.  Plenty of restaurants, entertainment and recreational activities are also a short drive away. Commuters find themselves at a convenient midway point for travel to Denver to the north and to Pueblo and Colorado Springs to the south.

For those who enjoy physical activity, some nearby attractions that may be of interest include the Santa Fe Trail along the Pikes Peak Greenway, Fox Run Regional Park, and the Tri-Lakes Family Center YMCA. There are several nearby golf courses including Gleneagle Golf Course and Kings Deer Golf Club.   The grand Pike National Forest is to the west.  Nearbyentertainment options available for movie-goers include the Hollywood Theatre, and the  IMAX and Cinemark 16 Theatre.  For sports fans, there is Sky Sox Baseball and hockey, shows and concerts at the World Arena .  Other not-too-far-but-fun areas to check out are the Western Mining Museum,  Garden of The Gods and Downtown Colorado Springs. The Denver Metro area is less than an hour north. For skiers, many of the World Famous Colorado Ski Resorts are within a 2 to 2 ½  hour commute.
