IVYWILD NEIGHBORHOOD INFORMATION


 Ivywild Neighborhood:  "Home is where the heart is"

Tree-lined streets and rolling hills characterize this neighborhood. The Ivywild area is close-in to downtown Colorado Springs as well as quick interstate access to  I-25. Ivywild neighborhood residents have great views of the mountains and easy access to all the Broadmoor Neighborhood area attractions including the historic Broadmoor Hotel and Cheyenne Mountain Conference Resort.  The famous Zoo on the mountain, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, home to the Mountaineer Sky Ride and the historic Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun is also close by.

Ivywild  is one of the more historic areas within the City of Colorado Springs. The Ivywild neighborhood is located in the southwest region of the city with homes dating back to the 1890’s. There are also a variety of newer homes and townhomes built up to 2002. Many of the homes in the Ivywild neighborhood are bungalow style , built in the 1920’s and 1930’s.  Home seekers can also find Victorian homes that were built around the turn of the century in this area.

Many homes in the Ivywild neighborhood are great starter homes, containing 1,000 – 1,500 square feet. Some have detached garages, covered patios, decks and wood burning fireplaces. You will also find homes that feature separate guest cottages within their lot. Outdoor lovers enjoy area parks including Cheyenne Mountain State Park, North Cheyenne Canyon and Bear Creek Canyon Parks. They offer a vast array of recreational opportunities including trail running, hiking, mountain biking, and Geocaching on endless miles of trails systems. Additionally, thousands of acres of National Forest land lie directly west of the Ivywild neighborhood including the Stratton Preserve Open Space and Trail System. Several other nearby outdoor attractions include Seven Falls, Helen Hunt Falls, and the Starsmore Discovery Center
