Monument
Located just north of Colorado Springs, the Monument area is a growing Tri-Lakes community that still retains its’ historic small-town feel. With an elevation of 7135 ft, Monument has impressive, picturesque views of the mountains, the plains and even the renowned Air Force Academy. Neighboring areas in the Tri-Lakes area include the town of Palmer Lake, and the areas of Woodmoor, Jackson Creek and Timberview. An assortment of homes are found in these areas, including cozy ranchers, two-story houses, townhomes, patio homes and luxury-style estates. Residents have reported sightings of local wildlife from mule deer to other common mountain critters, including wild turkey and the occasional bear!
Monument residents have access many nearby shopping opportunities, extending from its Downtown area to the convenient Monument Marketplace. South of Monument is the Chapel Hills Mall and the Shops at Briargate. The Outlets at Castle Rock are to the North. Plenty of restaurants, entertainment and recreational activities are within a few minutes reach. Commuters find themselves at a convenient midway point for travel to Denver to the north and to Pueblo and Colorado Springs to the south.
