East of the Air Force Academy’s North Gate is the aptly named Northgate area. Located in scenic northern Colorado Springs, this area contains several mostly newer neighborhoods including Stone Crossing, Trail Ridge, Northgate Highlands, Flying Horse, Gleneagle, Falcon’s Nest and Struthers Ranch. Residents of Northgate enjoy both a range of lovely treed areas to more open areas that have remarkable views of Pikes Peak and the fabulous Front Range. The Air Force Academy is a short drive away, and can be seen from many homes in the area. Homes are mostly newer and are typically custom and semi-custom single family homes. Hockey, shows and concerts are offered at the World Arena. A commute from the Northgate area to the Denver Metro area is less than 45 minutes North, and the World Famous Colorado Ski Resorts are within a two and a half hours reach.
