Park Hill
The Park Hill neighborhood is located just east of the downtown Colorado Springs area. This School District 11 subdivision was established in 1959 and many of the homes in this neighborhood were built in the 1960's. As a result of the predominant architecture of the period, most of the homes in Park Hill are brick style ranch homes with some bi-level and tri-level homes interspersed throughout the development. Given the age of the neighborhood one may easily find mature trees and larger sized lots in comparison to many newer developments. With this neighborhood's proximity to Downtown as well as the Powers Corridor, opportunities for shopping, restaurants, entertainment and activities abound. Bordering Park Hill to the north is the Palmer Park neighborhood where you will find the popular Citadel Mall. East of Park Hill, you will find Eastborough and the southern end of the Powers Corridor. To the South is Valley Hi, well known for its municipal golf course. To the West is the Downtown neighborhood of Knob Hill, home to the U.S. Olympic Training Center.

 

If your commute time is a concern, Park Hill may be considered conveniently located to many destinations. It is estimated to be about 15 minutes to Ft Carson, 10 minutes to Petersen AFB and the Colorado Springs Municipal Airport, 25 minutes to Schriever AFB, and about 20 minutes to the U.S. Air Force Academy.
