Many residents have remarkable city views as well. The Air Force Academy borders Peregrine to the north. Homes in Peregrine are mostly newer, typically in brick or stucco. Some houses were built as long ago as in the late 80’s. Patio homes were built in the late 90’s. Newer, upscale and custom homes were added to the area in the early to mid 2000’s. Residents enjoy the beauty of Blodgett Peak Open Space to the west, and can expect regular visits from local mountain wildlife such as deer, bear, and even the beautiful Peregrine Falcon, the neighborhood’s namesake.
Local schools for Peregrine students are in the acclaimed Academy School District 20. A wide choice of shopping areas are close by, such as The Shops at Briargate to the north, The Chapel Hills Mall to the east, as well as several department stores and grocery stores along Woodmen Road and Academy Blvd. The Peregrine neighborhood is close to I-25 access, making it easy to reach most any area of town quickly.
