The Pikes Peak Park neighborhood is located in the southeast section of the Colorado Springs area. This School District 2 subdivision was established in late 1950s and many of the homes in this neighborhood were built in the 60's.  Additional homes were built in the 80's and 90's. This neighborhood has a mix of bi-level, tri-level and ranch homes with some townhomes mixed in. Given the age of the neighborhood one may easily find larger mature trees, fruit trees, more developed garden areas and larger sized lots in comparison to many newer developments. Given this neighborhood's closeness to the Academy Blvd and the Powers Corridor, there are abundant opportunities for shopping, restaurants, entertainment and activities. To the North of Pikes Peak Park is the Valley Hi neighborhood, well known for its municipal golf course. East, you will find the Gateway Park neighborhood and the southern end of the Powers Corridor. To the South is the Stratmoor Valley neighborhood. West of Pikes Peak Park is the Spring Creek Neighborhood.

 

For commuting, Pikes Peak Park is considered convenient to many destinations. It is estimated to be between 10 and 15 minutes to Ft Carson, Petersen AFB and the Colorado Springs Municipal Airport, roughly 20 to 25 minutes to Schriever AFB, and about the same commute time to the U.S. Air Force Academy.
