Looking over the city, high atop a cliff, the unique Pinecliff neighborhood is located in the southern section of the Rockrimmon neighborhood, in northwest Colorado Springs. Apart from its incomparable views of the city, the Front Range and nearby Ute Park, Pinecliff presents its residents a unique, secluded neighborhood accented by its beautiful homes, many with impressive, creative architecture. Homes in Pinecliff are mostly 2-story, yet vary in size and style, as homes have been built from the late 60’s through the late 90’s. Townhomes and condominiums are available in the Pinecliff area as well.
Local schools for Pinecliff students are in the acclaimed Academy School District 20. A wide choice of shopping areas are close by, such as The Shops at Briargate to the north, The Chapel Hills Mall to the northeast, many other department stores, grocery stores and restaurants along Garden of the Gods Road and Centennial Blvd. University Park Village Shopping Plaza on North Nevada Ave offers more shopping options, including one of the cities two Costcos. The Pinecliff neighborhood is very close to I-25 access, making it easy to reach most any area in town quickly. The Air Force Academy is about a 15 minute commute north. Several nearby golf courses include the Patty Jewett Golf Course or Pine Creek Golf Course. Beautiful Garden of The Gods Park is about a 10 minute drive to the west. Two parks are also found in the Pinecliff neighborhood: Pinecliff Park is centrally located and Ute Valley Park to the west is popular with area hikers, bikers and runners. The grand Pike National Forest is also to the west of the Rockrimmon area.
All the cultural attractions in Downtown Colorado Springs including the Fine Arts Center, the Pioneers Museum, the Bemis School of Art , and the Pikes Peak Center are located within a fifteen minute drive so that Pinecliff residents can enjoy the rich culture of the Pikes Peak region. Movie-goers can enjoy downtown’s Kimball’s Peak Three Theater, the Carmike Chapel Hills Mall Theater, or the Hollywood Theatre to the north off I-25. For sports fans, there is Sky Sox Baseball at Sky Sox stadium. Hockey, various shows and concerts are offered at the World Arena. Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is also a great local place to visit. If you’re still looking for other options, Denver is about an hour’s commute north. World Famous Colorado Ski Resorts are within a 2 to 3 hour reach.
